FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. DO I NEED A PASSPORT?

Answer: NO

For U.S. citizens, a passport is not required to take a closed loop sailing (though it's always recommended, especially when visiting foreign ports of call). If your cruise begins and ends in the same U.S. port -- for example, sailing roundtrip Miami to Miami -- then you are embarking on what is considered a closed loop cruise, You will only need a birth certificate and valid state identification card or drivers license.

Q. DO I HAVE TO BE VACCINATED TO CRUISE?

Answer: NO

  • Cruising with Carnival is easy! Vaccines and testing are not required for most U.S. and European departures.*

  • VACCINATION & TESTING - Although vaccines are not required, we encourage all guests, 5 years of age and older, to be up to date with their COVID-19 vaccines, when eligible, and carry proof of vaccination. Testing is not required for either vaccinated or unvaccinated guests. However, we encourage all guests,  5 years and older, to take a pre-cruise COVID-19 test within three days of their cruise.

Q. DO CHILDREN PAY THE SAME AS ADULTS?

Answer: YES

Cruise fares are per person which includes children and infants. Infants must be at least 6 months of age at the time of embarkation in order to sail.

Q. CAN I BRING MY OWN ALCOHOL ONBOARD?

Answer: NO

Alcoholic drinks, including wines, spirits, beer or other liqueurs are available for purchase onboard the Vessel at fixed prices. Passengers are not permitted to bring onboard any such drinks for use during the voyage, whether for consumption in their own cabins or otherwise. Alcoholic drinks in any form will not be sold to Minors during the cruise. When the itinerary includes a port located in the U.S.A the same conditions will apply for any passengers under the age 21.  The Carrier and/or its servants and/or agents may confiscate alcohol brought onboard by Passengers.  The Carrier and/or its servants and/or agents may refuse to serve a Passenger alcohol or further alcohol where in their reasonable opinion the Passenger is likely to be a danger and/or nuisance to himself/herself, other passengers and/or the Vessel. Passenger shall be solely responsible to monitor their own alcohol consumption and Carrier shall have no liability to Passenger as a result of Passenger’s consumption of alcohol.

REQUIRED TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION

A PASSPORT IS NOT REQUIRED FOR ANY U.S. CITIZEN TAKING A CRUISE THAT BEGINS AND RETURNS TO THE SAME OR DIFFERENT U.S. PORT
It is highly recommended that all guests travel with a passport valid for at least six months beyond completion of travel (unless otherwise noted). This will enhance the debarkation experience as delays may be expected upon return to the United States for those without one. Additionally, this will enable guests to fly from the United States to meet their ship at a foreign port should they miss their scheduled port of embarkation and allow guests who must disembark the ship before their cruise ends due to an emergency to fly back to the United States without significant delays and complications.
